Corrective ExercisesIn addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. When even the slightest imbalance exists in a person's gait or posture (often due to an old injury or minor defect), the entire body is affected. The muscles that should be working become inhibited or "shut off", and accessory muscles are recruited to help and have to work overtime.
